Tapping 1: I Can’t Take Care of Myself

Side of the Hand: Even though I can’t take care of myself… I deeply and profoundly love and accept myself anyway.

Even though I can’t take care of myself… and that makes me feel helpless and scared… I accept who I am and how I feel.

Even though I can’t take care of myself… I accept myself anyway.

Top of the Head: I can’t take care of myself.
Eyebrow: I am completely helpless.
Side of the Eye: I can’t take care of anything for myself.
Under the Eye: I can’t take care of myself.
Under the Nose: I really don’t feel I can take care of myself.
Chin: I feel anxious and scared because I can’t take care of myself.
Collarbone: I can’t take care of myself.
Under the Arm: I’m really afraid that I can’t take care of myself.

Take a slow breath.

Tapping 2: I Can’t Take Care of Myself

Side of the Hand: Even though I can’t take care of myself… I deeply and completely accept all of my feelings.

Even though I can’t take care of myself… not the way I want to… I accept myself anyway.

Even though I can’t take care of myself… I’m open to feeling calm and confident anyway.

Top of the Head: I hate relying on others to take care of me.
Eyebrow: I can’t rely on others to take care of me.
Side of the Eye: What if I can?
Under the Eye: What if I am taking care of myself right now?
Under the Nose: I appreciate the small ways I take care of myself now.
Chin: I really want to take care of myself.
Collarbone: What if I relaxed into allowing myself to be cared for?
Under the Arm: I choose to care for myself… and to allow others to care for me, too.

Top of the Head: What does it mean to care for myself?
Eyebrow: No one grows all their own food anymore.
Side of the Eye: We are all interdependent.
Under the Eye: I am no different from anyone.
Under the Nose: No, I am different!
Chin: No, I am NO different.
Collarbone: What if I accepted who I am right now?
Under the Arm: Now THAT would be different… and a very interesting way to start caring for myself!

Take a slow breath.
