Check In: I’m So Impatient

Say aloud:

I’m So Impatient

Notice how true it feels in your body on a scale from 0 to 10. Zero means the statement has no felt charge for you, and 10 means it feels completely true.

Starting intensity: _____

Tapping 1: I’m So Impatient

Side of the Hand: Even though I’m so impatient… I accept myself… and I accept my sense of urgency.

Even though I’m so impatient… with my body… with my slow recovery… I deeply and completely accept all of me.

Even though I’m so impatient… and it’s driving me nuts… I’m open to feeling surprising calm and confident anyway.

Top of the Head: I’m so impatient.
Eyebrow: I’ve always been so impatient.
Side of the Eye: Who could be patient?
Under the Eye: It seems silly to be patient.
Under the Nose: I’m so very impatient.
Chin: I may be the most impatient person in the world.
Collarbone: I refuse to be any different.
Under the Arm: Being impatient is so good for me… isn’t it?

Take a slow breath.

Tapping 2: I’m So Impatient

Side of the Hand: Even though I’m impatient… and maybe I always have been… I’m open to a surprising sense of inner peace.

Even though I can’t imagine ever being peaceful… what’s that?!?!… I accept myself and all of my feelings.

Even though I’m totally impatient with myself… with my body… with everyone… I choose to feel surprisingly calm and confident anyway.

Top of the Head: I’m still impatient.
Eyebrow: That will never change.
Side of the Eye: What if it did?
Under the Eye: I’m still so very impatient.
Under the Nose: And that’s okay.
Chin: I am where I am… in a state of impatience.
Collarbone: And that’s okay.
Under the Arm: Because I am opening myself to the possibility… however remote… of feeling calm and peaceful.

Top of the Head: I’m feeling just a bit less impatient.
Eyebrow: And that feels like relief.
Side of the Eye: I know I can always feel impatient.
Under the Eye: What if I allowed myself to feel surprisingly peaceful… right here… right now?
Under the Nose: What if I allowed my body to relax?
Chin: I am allowing my anxiety to release.
Collarbone: I’m enjoying my own power… the power to bring myself relief.
Under the Arm: I love this growing feeling of calm confidence… and inner peace.

Take a slow breath.
