Check In: It’s My Fault

Say aloud:

It’s My Fault

Notice how true it feels in your body on a scale from 0 to 10. Zero means the statement has no felt charge for you, and 10 means it feels completely true.

Starting intensity: _____

Tapping 1: It’s My Fault

Side of the Hand: Even though it’s my fault… I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway.

Even though it’s definitely my fault… I’m okay and getting over it.

Even though it’s my fault… can’t change the past, can I?… I accept who I am and how I feel.

Top of the Head: It’s my fault.
Eyebrow: It’s all my fault.
Side of the Eye: It’s definitely all my fault.
Under the Eye: I feel totally to blame.
Under the Nose: It’s my fault, and no one else’s.
Chin: It’s the truth! It’s my fault!
Collarbone: It’s so easy and natural to blame myself.
Under the Arm: I wonder where I learned that it’s all my fault?

Take a slow breath.

Tapping 2: It’s My Fault

Side of the Hand: Even though it’s my fault… I choose to accept all of me anyway.

Even though it’s probably all my fault… I mean, who else can I blame?… I deeply and completely accept all of my feelings.

Even though I’m still convinced that it’s my fault… I’m okay and getting better.

Top of the Head: Still my fault.
Eyebrow: It’s always my fault!
Side of the Eye: Why is that?
Under the Eye: Could it be that it isn’t all my fault?
Under the Nose: Maybe it’s not my fault.
Chin: What if it’s nobody’s fault?
Collarbone: That would be different.
Under the Arm: I am open to the possibility that I’m not to blame.

Top of the Head: It’s not my fault!
Eyebrow: Oh yes it is!
Side of the Eye: No, it’s not my fault.
Under the Eye: I’ve decided to let go of the blame.
Under the Nose: I choose to feel surprisingly at peace.
Chin: It causes me pain to blame myself.
Collarbone: I welcome the relief of knowing that it’s not my fault.
Under the Arm: I appreciate that I am doing the best that I can… and I always have… even under very difficult circumstances.

Take a slow breath.
