Guided Practice: Tapping into the Power of the Universe

Let these words guide you deeper into yourself. Give yourself a few minutes to be present with the body and set the tone for the next portion of your day.

Take a slow breath. Wiggle the toes. Move the jaw and pelvis a little if that feels comfortable. Imagine stepping into the body as you would step into a supportive pair of shoes. Let your attention and the energy of the body meet each other here.

Notice the ordinary tasks asking for attention. Imagine placing the laundry, messages, calls, and other inner noise into a beautiful basket. You are not promising to abandon them. You are setting them beside you so you can choose what matters first.

Pick one priority that would make this part of the day meaningful. Let it be small enough to begin—perhaps a conversation, an outline, a boundary, a short piece of a larger creation, or a task that has been weighing on you. Picture it clearly while remaining in contact with the body.

Now become aware of the energy around you. Some may feel beautiful, some stressful, and some neutral. Invite only what would support this task and your well-being. If the Universe is meaningful to you, let this be energy offered by the Universe. Otherwise, imagine warmth, light, breath, nature, or the body’s own available vitality.

Imagine a golden light beginning at the toes. Let it fill the feet, ankles, calves, knees, and thighs. Where there is resistance, allow the light to arrive without force. Let it reach the hips, pelvis, belly, and back.

Feel it move through the chest and shoulders, down the arms, and into the fingertips. Let the hands and wrists receive support for everything they do. Allow the light to return through the arms, cross the shoulders, and move into the neck and jaw. Let it soothe the places that have been bracing.

Allow the warmth to reach the face, scalp, forehead, and back of the head. Take a breath and notice the meeting of body energy, inner imagery, and whatever support you sense beyond yourself.

Let this energy nurture the body first. Then invite what remains to align with the priority you chose. You are not borrowing certainty from the image. You are listening for clarity. Does anything about the task want to change—its first step, tone, timing, boundary, or direction?

Imagine doing the next small portion with this support available. You do not have to finish everything. Beginning counts. Each time you practice, you build the capacity to bring body, attention, and purpose together.

Take another breath. Appreciate that you have chosen something meaningful and made space for it. Let the sounds and sensations of the room return. Feel the chair, floor, or bed. If your eyes are closed, open them gently.

The basket of other tasks can remain quiet while you take the step you chose. When that step is complete, celebrate it. Then return to the basket one item at a time.

You can receive support without giving away your agency. You can choose, focus, create, and adjust. Let the practice end with one grounded action.
