Watch, Then Practice

The List May Be Longer Than the Day

The belief I did not get enough done can keep the system pushing long after useful focus is gone. The good news and the difficult news are the same: you do not have to do everything, and you cannot do everything.

Rest is not a prize awarded only when the list is empty. It can support clearer choices about what truly matters tomorrow.

Tapping: Rest Is One of My Priorities

Side of the Hand: Even though I cannot sleep because I did not get enough
done, and part of me says I do not deserve rest, what if a real pause would
help me make better decisions?

Even though I feel frantic and there is too much left, I choose to let sleep be
one of my priorities. My mind and body need renewal too.

Even though I feel too anxious to stop, what if this overtired energy is a sign
that I need care? I choose to send myself to bed lovingly rather than drive
myself harder.

Top of the Head: There is so much to do.
Eyebrow: What if that also means I am creative and engaged?
Side of the Eye: I am not running out of ways to use my time.
Under the Eye: I can choose what matters most.
Under the Nose: It is okay to soothe my overtired self.
Chin: Rest may give me perspective.
Collarbone: I may make better decisions in the morning.
Under the Arm: I can be conscious about what I choose to do.

Top of the Head: I allow myself to rest.
Eyebrow: I do not have to finish everything to be worthy of sleep.

Take a breath. Acknowledge at least one thing you did do today—including this
moment of caring for yourself.

If the mind is afraid it will lose something important, write the few essential items down. Let paper or a trusted system hold them for the night. This is not another list to complete; it is permission for the mind to stop rehearsing.
