What Would You Miss?
Going to bed may carry sadness, anger, or resentment about everything that could happen without you. Before tapping, say, If I go to bed now, I will miss out. Notice where that lands in the body and what scene, age, or present-day longing comes with it.
Tapping: Choosing What I Receive
Side of the Hand: Even though if I go to bed now I will be missing out, a
part of me truly feels that way. I honor this confusing conflict.
Even though going to bed feels sad because I might miss something, I am open to
feeling surprisingly ready for rest anyway.
Even though part of me believes I must stay alert and keep going, another part
knows it is time for bed. I give my body permission to become ready.
Top of the Head: I will be missing out.
Eyebrow: Missing out.
Side of the Eye: Everyone else may be doing something without me.
Under the Eye: I do not want to lose that possibility.
Under the Nose: And if I stay up, I miss something too.
Chin: I miss the sleep my body is asking for.
Collarbone: I am listening to both sides of this conflict.
Under the Arm: I can choose to get ready for bed.
Top of the Head: I tune my energy toward that experience.
Eyebrow: Time with myself can be something I receive, not only something I
miss.
Take a breath and notice what choice feels more congruent now.
