Initial Questions to Get Focused

Choose One Useful Focus

This Course can touch many parts of life. Choosing one area gives the Primitive Brain a specific situation to respond to and gives you a way to notice real change. You are not locking yourself into a permanent answer. You are selecting a living example for exploration.

Pick one area where you want greater ease, movement, or cooperation within yourself.

Notice Where the Parking Brake Is On

What tells you this area is a problem or not yet where you want it to be?

Include concrete evidence where possible. You might notice something you do, something you avoid, a repeating result, an inner conflict, a body response, or a situation that keeps activating you.

Then ask: If I were on the right track, what would be different? Describe a believable sign of progress or success rather than requiring a perfect ending.

Include Your Own Patterns Without Blame

Name one thing you currently do that contributes to the problem. Then name one thing you do not do that also contributes.

This is not a verdict about character. It is a way to make the pattern more visible. Behavior often carries protective intelligence even when its current effect is frustrating.

Respect What You Have Already Tried

What have you tried that did not work, did not last, or did not create the change you hoped for?

Notice what those attempts reveal. Perhaps the step was too large, the timing felt unsafe, one part of you was left out, or the strategy depended on willpower and punishment. Past disappointment can explain why the Primitive Brain is cautious now.

Carry a Specific Starting Point Forward

Complete these sentences:

  • The area I want to explore is…
  • The clearest sign that the parking brake is on is…
  • A believable sign of movement would be…
  • The pattern I most want to understand is…

Keep your responses nearby. They are not an assignment to finish correctly. They are an initial map that can be revised as deeper information emerges.

Reflect and Save Your Responses

Welcome! We are so looking forward to taking you step-by-step through calming and reprogramming your primitive brain, taking the parking brake off, and aligning your energy and intentions with your deepest desires. As you answer these questions, you will be focusing your energy… and ours. That’s important because we want to add our energy and intentions with yours.

Your answers will be kept confidential and used by us to help support you in getting the maximum benefit possible. (A copy of what you write will be emailed to you and to us when you click the button at the bottom. ) Let’s get started!

When a person is stuck, and their primitive brain is active, they tend to get fuzzy and overwhelmed. Together we’re going to start by getting as specific as you can right now. Whatever you come up with is okay! We know you want it all! We do, too. But we’re asking you to focus on ONE issue for now. If you focus on one issue, you can see progress easier, and your primitive brain will be stronger and more resilient when you’re done. We just don’t want you to be overwhelmed with too many options and not move forward at all. Trust us, pick one thing if you possibly can and focus there… it will help in ALL areas.
Think about that specific area of your life… what isn’t working for you now… and complete the following sentences:
