Old Warnings Get Loud at a New Edge

Limiting thoughts can return when you stretch an aspect of life that has not felt safe before. Treat the noisy inner hamsters as indicators of activation, not proof the new direction is impossible.

Ask what past event, rejection, or danger the thought resembles. Ground in the present and use Inner Tapping or specific-event work where useful.

Tapping: Let Other Voices Join the Field

Side of the Hand: Even though these thoughts say this will never work, I
appreciate the part trying to warn me as I stretch.

Top of the Head: The hamsters are loud.
Eyebrow: They remember old limits.
Side of the Eye: My Primitive Brain wants to believe them.
Under the Eye: I can gently comfort the alarm.
Under the Nose: Times, resources, and my capacities have changed.
Chin: My heart and conscious mind also have information.
Collarbone: I invite supportive voices to cheer honest movement.
Under the Arm: Survival wisdom can join a larger direction for my life.

Do Not Make the Primitive Brain Carry the Whole Vision

The Primitive Brain specializes in survival, not necessarily in imagining your largest creative or relational expression. Let it contribute warnings and bodily information while heart, values, imagination, reason, and support help choose the direction.
