I learned this as a kid, I think it was Prevention magazine or something my hippie mom used to subscribe to. It was to do this right before bed as a technique for boxing up the racing thoughts and anxieties that kept you awake. Worked wonders.
Indeed! Finding nighttime rituals (as adults, too!) helps us unwind those tensions and thoughts-that-won’t-lie-down-and-be-QUIET. Do you still use that approach at times now?
Interestingly… I have the tapping solution app and they have a 2 minute prep for sleep/unwind tapping that works wonders.
