Attracting Financial Abundance Workshop

Oxygen. Money. When you are in need of oxygen... or in need of money... nothing else is a good substitute.

For humans to survive and thrive, an abundant supply of oxygen is critical. The same goes for money.

People whose breathing is well-balanced have a rhythm around their use of oxygen: easy in, easy out. Stress-free-breathing. Worry-free-breathing.

Of course, many of us today have shallow, constricted breathing. The stresses in our lives... our worries, fears, doubts, and painful memories... act to keep us from breathing deeply with an easy in, easy out rhythm. Self-limiting beliefs and self-criticisms weight heavily on our chests... and our hearts.

Stress clearly affects our breathing. Relieve the stress, and we will naturally breathe easier and use oxygen more effectively. Yet, it's harder for us to perceive the correlation between our stressed-out attitudes and fears about money and how those thought patterns constrict the flow of abundant financial energy. After all, don't we all know some seriously stressed-out, whacked-out "rich" people? Just look at many of our movie stars!

That is why from an energy perspective, we must look at two different aspects:

1) Blocks and stresses to the FLOW of financial energy. (Getting Money)

2) Rules and resistances to FEELING safe, relaxed, and grateful. (Enjoying Money)

And those are the aspects covered in the Attracting Financial Abundance Workshop that is a part of the Thriving Now Team. First my co-host Cathy Vartuli and I focus on relieving worries, stresses, limiting beliefs, and fears around money that block its flow to us (and through us). Then we practice the skill of living daily life with an Attitude of Abundance so we can thoroughly enjoy what we have now... as well as ALL we intend to attract in the weeks and months to come.

- We can change our conscious and unconscious beliefs using tapping or other techniques. Our focus will naturally change as we release blocks and old beliefs.

- Think back to when you were a child, what messages did your parents/caregivers give you about money.

- Homework: see if you can find things to feel abundant about, even if not feeling abundant about $. Noticing little things that are good and plentiful.

- Claiming Abundance Now!
- Examining Our Views on Self-Worth, Success, and Spirituality
- At some point, we make a decision. We decide that abundance exists.
- Many people say "I will allow myself to feel abundant when ____." When I have a million dollars, for example.
- If you haven't practiced feeling abundant on the way, you probably won't find the FEELING of ABUNDANCE when the million dollars shows up, or it will be a fleeting experience.
- You might suddenly realize you need 10 million to really feel secure.

- Tap on the ways we "put off" the FEELING of abundance to some future point.

- The traditional way success is measured is very analytical, using numbers and metrics. Shift to an internal metric.
- We can have all those material trappings of success, and have a long list of "accomplishments," and not be happy.
- It is harder to allow abundance in our life's if we have low self-worth.
- Claiming our own power: To claim our power, it's important to give up being hard on ourselves as a technique of behavior control.

- Homework: Thank you game

Call #7: Releasing Financial Trauma (Team Members Listen Here)

- In the moment, practical relief. Something triggered primitive brain... recognize those signs.
- Trauma: Powerless over something that APPEARS life threatening.
- Determining whether your current focus is externally vs. internally referenced.
- Law of Atrraction: turned to "The world is coming to an end!!" channel. Becomes louder. Hear it all around it right now. World wide gravitation pull and personal pull.
- What do you look at that triggers you the most? Bank statement? Bill? Dow? Retirement fund? On-line account statement? College savings fund?
- Pick something that’s real (not denying the account that was 100k is now 55k).
- Tapping: Compulsive checking
- Primitive brain: is often good at dealing with immediate life-threatening problems where you must react and not think. It developed in times when there were life threatening dangers all around. Tree falling on you? Move quickly! Lots of adrenaline and full out effort which can feel like panic. The problem is, the primitive brain treats most threats as immediately life threatening. And that can feel overwhelming. Running as fast as you can in full out panic is NOT going to help you deal with the stock market, your 401K, or your job.
- As soon as someone gives you a positive perspective, what’s your reaction? Do you have any resistance? Is hope too big a step for you right now? Too far from disempowerment?
- Tapping: Feeling like a "financial failure"
- Where are you? What are you feeling in your body?
- Tapping: Heart racing
- Tapping: Negative trend
