Have you ever found yourself in an argument you didn’t want? One where whether you were “winning” or “losing” it was damaging the relationship. What typically happens? The battle keeps going, of course! Wouldn’t it be great if we could press a big PAUSE button? But where’s the pause button when you need it?!?
What do we call it when we can’t do what some other human can? We call it a WEAKNESS. It’s also considered a defect, a flaw, a deficiency, a fault, and an imperfection. Or it’s a failing, shortcoming, inadequacy, lack, weak spot, limitation, blemish, disadvantage, and even a failure. What if instead… we cultivated our Gifts and accepted our Gaps?
Tender-hearted people often carry the scars and bruises from blaming and shaming, especially from “friends” and “loved ones” and “authorities.” Fault-finding warps our sense of what is ours and what is theirs and what is the Divine’s. We end up with an Inner Critic instead of an Inner Buddy. And that CAN be shifted.
