Clearing Clutter… Are There Emotions in Your “Stuff”?

Clearing Clutter with EFT

I didn't really think I had a clutter problem.

Of course, there was THAT pile... that felt strangely overwhelming.

Yeah, and the closet... that made my whole home feel less comfortable every time I went into it.

If we define "clutter" as anything that feels out of place, that drains our energy, or that is painful to hold onto yet even more painful to let go of... then yes, I had clutter. Do you?

I'm going to recommend that you stop looking at clutter as just "stuff." Instead, observe its effect on you emotionally. What does it do to your vibration?

Then, dig deeper. Look at individual items. What do you feel you'd lose if you let go? What is keeping you holding on?

Use EFT on those emotional blocks to clearing the clutter from your life, your work, your computer, and your relationships.

Carol Look and I have just launched Clearing Clutter with EFT. In this 5 hour audio coaching program with transcript, including extensive tapping rounds, we take you step-by-step through a deeper understanding of why you've held onto the clutter, and we help you clear the blocks to clarity so you can know... in your head, heart, and gut... what to do with what you have.

The other side of clutter feels so... freeing. My closet is organized now, and after I did the energy tapping I found it happening naturally rather than having to force myself. Piles are fewer and far between, and when they appear, I no longer feel the distress I used to... I just take care of them when the time is right. My inbox is remarkably under control; after the EFT tapping I found it easier to follow the sorting techniques I knew would work but for "some unknown reason" never before applied so consistently.

Better yet, it's lasted. And it's continued to improve over the months since we did these recordings. I've passed along dozens of books, CDs, clothes, and more. And I feel RELIEF. I even let go of an office lease as well as an old business partnership that once held a lot of promise but had turned into an energy drain. It wouldn't seem at first blush that these were clutter energies... yet they were what came up as I did the EFT rounds on "letting go" that are a part of this Clearing Clutter program.

It also still fascinates me was how emotional overwhelm over one item can stop a person from doing anything at all with the whole pile. And also how a little bit of "rebelliousness" creates a huge block to doing anything.

I encourage everyone to review the recordings outline to see all the different issues you'll want to address with EFT if you want to clear clutter for yourself or your clients.

  1. One of the neatest things about EFT is that when we focus on one area of our lives, we improve many. I love that! When I worked on my fear of increasing my income, I found that I allowed abundance in other areas to flow. More friends, love, joy and fun appeared in my life. When I tapped on eating more than I wanted when I was stressed, my self worth in relationships became stronger and I allowed myself to connect more deeply. Our issues are often interlinked.
Rick and Carol are masters of that. They are willing to look at the deeper, more fundamental issues involved, which makes it easy to shift core beliefs. Their new recordings on Clutter are not about having a perfectly ordered closet (though it will help if that’s your goal). They use clutter as a doorway into beliefs on lack, fears, love and connection.
Their skill and insight allow them to guide you to seeing these blocks in a single piece of paper. In a CD that has been sitting on your desk and sapping your energy every time you look at it. They help you recognize the energy it takes to ignore that pile of clothes you’ve been meaning to give to goodwill, and then lead you through a process of releasing the reasons you’ve held onto them so long. They cover the range of emotions and beliefs around this, from fear of lack (I might need them again), fear of making a decision (what if I made a mistake?), the sentiment attached to them (my sister gave me that shirt), and overwhelm (if I deal with this, I have 30 other things to do).
After I listened and tapped along with the recordings, I found myself spontaneously cleaning my garage. I had been ignoring it for months. As I sorted and threw away, gave away, and cleaned, I found my energy lightening up. It felt wonderful! I hadn’t realized how much energy it had been sapping. Ignoring it every time I walked through, thinking about how much I had to get it done. By tapping on the blocks, I released feelings of lack, fear and overwhelm, and gave myself another gift. Every time I go into my garage, I feel good. I feel special and valued. I love the feeling.

  2. “If you’ve spent time grappling with any sort of clutter, then you’ve probably suspected that this uphill battle has more to do with emotional resistance than technique. Carol Look and Rick Wilkes have created a comprehensive and easy to follow program that combines multiple insights into what keeps us stuck with advanced EFT skills to release this challenge from all areas of our lives… Clearing up these cluttering emotions has freed up new space in my life for abundance — I’ve attracted and seen more clients this week than ever before! Thank you Carol and Rick for your great skill, effectiveness and generosity so clearly evident in Clearing Clutter with EFT. I have already begun to recommend this program to clients and colleagues.” —Beth Sorger, LCSW, EFT Practitioner

  3. “I have to say that I’m very impressed with the areas that you have targeted using EFT. I’ve tried to use other “de-cluttering” and “organizing” systems and approaches over the years (I ended up with a lot of books to add to my clutter) and have had only short term success at best. I’m finding that as I’ve begun the process of clearing some of the familial and generational issues you’ve presented, I’m finally acknowledging them and starting to dig away at the roots of what have kept me so stuck—and that’s after only a few hours of listening, following along with the transcript, and doing the exercises!” —Michelle, Ohio
