Start With the State You Are In

Overwhelm is not only a thought that there is too much to do. It is an emotional and embodied state. Before asking yourself to organize everything, pause and notice how the overwhelm is already showing up.

Where do you feel it in your body? Perhaps there is pressure in your head, tightness in your chest, buzzing in your arms, a knot in your stomach, or a sense that your whole system is crowded. There is nothing to solve during this first moment. You are making contact with what is already here.

The intention is not to leap instantly from intense overwhelm to perfect clarity. Begin by bringing the energy down enough to feel safer, more present, and more open to what might help. The next honest step can emerge later.

Tapping: A Little Relief From Overwhelm

Side of the Hand: Even though I feel overwhelmed in my body and mind, I
acknowledge how I feel right now.

Even though the overwhelm feels terrible, I am open to a little more calm and
confidence.

Even though I feel overwhelmed, I accept that this is where I am beginning.

Eyebrow: I feel so overwhelmed.
Side of the Eye: This overwhelmed feeling.
Under the Eye: It is here in my body.
Under the Nose: It is here in my mind.
Chin: I got overwhelmed again.
Collarbone: And I am not clear yet.
Under the Arm: I feel so overwhelmed.
Top of the Head: And I want more clarity.

Eyebrow: My intention is to move toward clarity.
Side of the Eye: And right now I am overwhelmed.
Under the Eye: I am where I am.
Under the Nose: I appreciate that I am acknowledging it.
Chin: I respect that I am working with it.
Collarbone: I do not have to be somewhere else yet.
Under the Arm: I am open to a little relief.
Top of the Head: I am moving gently toward calm and clarity.

Take a deep breath. Notice whether any part of you feels different. You can
repeat the practice before continuing. A small change is enough.

Let Clarity Be a Direction

Clarity can begin as an intention rather than an answer. You may not yet know what to do, what to release, or what belongs first. You can still orient toward being more grounded, resourceful, and connected to yourself.

The Course will explore limiting beliefs, habits, boundaries, identity, specific triggers, and deeper emotional patterns. For now, the practice is simple: feel what is present, tap with honesty, and let a little more room appear.

Ask Gus Open Gus to ask a question. Gus won't respond until you ask.
