What Do I Deserve?

Listen

When we explore an emotional block, we often start with safety: “Is it safe for you to move forward?”

If it does feel safe, the next checks for other emotional blocks such as guilt, shame, and the need to be punished… or that you have to EARN what you want…

“Do you think or feel you deserve to ______—feel better, experience abundance, find love?”

If part of you believes you don’t deserve something, you may find yourself self-sabotaging, procrastinating, or just resisting… no matter how much you really want it!

The reasons don’t need to make sense to our adult brain. If we hold the belief that we don’t deserve it, we cannot move forward easily.

If this feels true for you at any level, the recording above can help you work with the block. Notice the reasons you believe you don’t deserve whatever you would like to experience. It could be as unrelated as “I don’t deserve a job I love because I was mean to my sister that time when I was four, and I made her cry.”

It can be helpful to write a list of the reasons, along with how true or intense each one feels. As you tap, notice whether you feel more open to moving toward your goals and to recognizing new ways to reach them.
