Listen
When we’re looking at a to-do list, it can be overwhelming. Big projects and even bigger life changes can overwhelm our emotional guidance system with fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs. That’s when we can apply a practical skill…
Rather than picking a whole project from the list, look at only the next baby step. What is the next physical action that you could complete within two minutes?
For example, if you need to call someone and have a challenging conversation, you may feel a body NO. Rather than ignoring the call or muscling through on willpower, break it down. To call someone, you need their phone number. Perhaps the first two minute task could be to look up their phone number and save it into your cell phone. Does that feel more like a YES to you? The next two minute task might be to jot down three key points you want to cover in the call. How does that feel to you? Yes? Or No?
This perspective is well recognized in time management circles as being effective at breaking through blocks. From an energy management perspective, it helps you become an active partner with your body guidance.
By looking, listening, and feeling for what is a YES for you, you get into the flow from yes to Yes to YES to YES!!! You develop confidence and trust that big accomplishments really do break down to a sequence of two minute “what I’m doing NOW’s.” So…
What is a YES for you… for just the next two minutes?
In this recording, we’re also going to give you some additional tips on body guidance. Remember, a body NO doesn’t necessarily mean NEVER. It may be a Yes after you clear the fears and blocks. It may be a Yes after it ripens. There may be a different way to approach it. It may be that something else is even MORE of a YES.
As you practice these baby steps, you will find yourself flowing through your day with more ease and enjoyment. You will discover your own flow as you go within yourself, listen, and follow the next two minute YES.
When a NO keeps showing up, you can tap with the blocks, fears, and limiting beliefs underneath it. The aim is not to force a YES. It is to create enough emotional room to sense the next honest step.
