When we’re choosing between foods (as we do in this exercise), you may notice that your body gives you different sensations than when you were considering hugging people. Learning your body’s language as it speaks to you over “simple” food choices will help you discern the ways it says YES! And that is what we’re looking for…
If you’re finding that listening to your body’s messages is challenging, don’t worry! This skill is so fundamental that it will continue to be a part of the team coaching process. We encourage you to notice the thoughts and beliefs that come up as you practice (…or forget to practice…). For example, self-limiting beliefs can show up, like: “I’ll never get this!” or “This can’t work for me” or “I can’t trust myself.” Bring these to the team forum or a team call, and we’ll shift those energies together!
Whether you are deciding if you should move across the country for a new job, or what to have for lunch, being able to tune into your body guidance, and know what is right for YOU, can make all the difference. Start by practicing on little things and see how it can add joy and fun back into your life.
