Do you think it’s better to give than to receive? I share an insight about that, and some tapping in just a minute…
First- I wanted to remind you that our Tell Your Story…Find Your Voice program closes tomorrow. If you want to join us on this journey, you need to get your “ticket” before midnight Wednesday! I hope you’ll join us!

Back to our previously scheduled programming… 😉
You’ve probably heard people say “It’s better to give than to receive.”
I say- Bah-humbug!
Really.
Think about it… when you give more than you receive, you end up depleted and dry, just like a well that ran dry.
On the other hand, when you don’t give at all, you can end up like a stagnant pond… no motion, lots of algae and muck.
I say- it’s good to give AND receive.
Finding a balance that works for you is wonderful – it lets you be generous and vital. Good flow, healthy abundance, nothing stagnant.
This time of year especially, it can be really easy to run yourself dry. To give until you feel depleted. And just like an over-dry garden, when others give to you, it might run off the dry, packed soil and not sink in at all.
Where is your balance? What are you doing for yourself? (If our Telling Your Story Program drew you, we’d love to see you be part of it! And just FYI- the doors close tomorrow night, so get your ticket now if you’re joining us!!)
Whatever it is, we hope you’re allowing yourself to be replenished and inspired this season.
Let’s do some tapping!
Karate Chop: They keep telling me to give and give…After all, I should be generous, Right!?
Even though I feel guilty for not giving enough, I’m tired of feeling depleted and drained.
Even though I do want to give, I really want to receive as well. And I’m curious what balance would look like for me…
Top of the Head: I don’t want my well to run dry.
Eyebrow: I feel cranky and tired,
Side of the Eye: When I get depleted.
Under the Eye: That’s not good for me,
Under the Nose: Or anyone around me!
Chin: I’m tired of running myself dry.
Collarbone: And I’m curious how I can find a balance.
Under the Arm: One that works for me!
Top of the Head: I have been giving a lot.
Eyebrow: I’m a loving and generous person.
Side of the Eye: And I want to make a difference in the world.
Under the Eye: But I do better when I feel replenished!
Under the Nose: I deserve to have my garden watered too.
Chin: And I invite the Universe to help me receive.
Collarbone: I ask my heart to open.
Under the Arm: And my being to allow…
Top of the Head: I am ready to receive abundance and love.
Eyebrow: I’m ready to receive attention and generosity.
Side of the Eye: I’m open to gentle caring and support.
Under the Eye: And a lot of ease and beautiful flow.
Under the Nose: I’m ready to find a better balance in my life.
Chin: And in my heart.
Collarbone: I ask the Universe to guide me,
Under the Arm: And help me receive more.
Top of the Head: I know when my garden is watered, I have more to give… And I enjoy life more!
Take a deep breath.
What do you notice now? If there are any “yeah-buts” jot those down and tap on them! And if your body feels relaxed and open, save this tapping to use throughout the holiday season so you can be open to receiving all the love and abundance you can hold!
We hope your garden is well watered, and that there is plenty of sunshine and nourishment to share.
With love
Cathy and Rick
