Can you take a deep breath…right now? Scan your body and tune in, just for a minute.
Do you feel the way you want to?
I’m guessing you’d like to feel calm and confident. Vital and present. Rested and with a body that is ready to take on the day.
Instead, if you’re like me, there are plenty of times when you feel insecure, rushed, awkward, or anxious. And the aches and tiredness of your body distract a jittery mind.
I’ve been paying attention to when I feel that calm, grounded focus I love, and when I feel like my brain is at war with itself… and my body just wants a quiet place to rest.
The beauty of having so much change in my life at once has given me insight into what I used to feel ALL the time. And it’s giving me new compassion for what I had to deal with… and what many people struggling with these feeling have the courage to face every day.
Can I share a personal story with you? Something to illustrate how big a difference this can make?
Two weeks ago, I sat at my desk at my new job, trying not to hyperventilate in front of my new co-workers. It was surprising to me, because I have gotten so much more confident and outgoing…
I needed to do something that made me feel very awkward, and brought up shame that my body isn’t moving as well as I’d like (stress is so hard on our bodies). I felt like doing this required task was like being required to lift 1000’s of pounds. I didn’t know how to get the energy to pull it together. And it was part of my job so I had to.
Luckily, I had a few minutes, and I went to the restroom and tapped. (I’ll share what I tapped on Friday, so watch for that email if you’re interested).
As I tapped, I became aware of all the “burdens” I was carrying that day.
I was learning a new city, a new job, and a very important personal relationship was in turmoil. As I listed all the things that were going on, and could separate them from the task I had to do, I felt lighter. I was still more tired and stressed than I would have liked, but my brain was able to “unlink” some of my reaction from the task at hand.
I was able to calm myself and complete what I needed.
3 days later, after clearing some of the pain around the relationship turmoil, (thank you Rick and Carol Look for some amazing tapping!) I had that same task to do again. I’d had a good night’s sleep, and I was feeling calmer and more grounded.
I was amazed at how, though awkward, easy it was to complete. The difference between lifting a 10 lb weight and a 10,000 lb one. Same action, completely different effort.
I want that ease for you. I want you to be able to move through life with gentle ease and to have the energy left to connect with loved ones.
First, just realize that it is possible. Life doesn’t have to be this heavy, exhausting, anxiety producing, and overwhelming. It can be easier!
Second, do the tapping we’ll send you on Friday.
Third, if this resonates with you, we’ll also share a way you can systematically clear the burdens from your life this Friday, too. (And as you can see from my story, that doesn’t mean that life won’t sometimes have challenges, but the new resiliency and quicker turnaround is priceless!)
In the meantime, know you’re not alone. Your courage and willingness to show up for yourself and others is valued and appreciated.
May your day be filled with gentle reminders that the Universe loves you (including this email that you gave yourself time to read, if that feels like something that touched you).
