It’s easy to let people step on our passion.
We tune our passion down so it can be barely seen. Deflect it. Distort it to become what others want to hear, what won’t hurt their feelings or cause distress… and squash passion down… making passion (and a thriving life) WAIT until *later*.
Most of us were conditioned as children to not be too excited, to stick with what’s safe and traditional, to avoid rejection… to please others and align our wishes with theirs. We left our hearts (and body) and retreated into our heads — because an isolated brain can be trained to follow the dictates and rules of authority figures and culture.
We retreated from everything magical and passionate… And then we wonder why life feels flat, dull, lifeless. (Or like a never-ending To-Do list!)
Where did the “alive” feeling go?
Some people assume that it just is part of growing up… but their hearts know better. Their hearts long to fly free.
The passion we have is truly precious. Yet, we don’t guard it or nurture it most of the time.
Sometimes we hide it… sometimes we ignore it.
What would your life be like if you could let your passion out? What if you honored it and re-ignited it?
Easier said than done- right?
How many of us were actually shown what heart-centered decisions look like? Or how to make one and stay true to it?
Many of us spent decades stiffing such inner guidance, not growing our passion.
What if you could learn to tune into your passion? Your heart’s purpose? In a focused, practical, and purposeful way.
Would that make a difference for your life?
If so, we invite you to make that difference now. Protect and nurture your passion through the holiday season and stay true to yourself even amidst the end-of-year noise.
Give yourself the gift of you this year. Develop your own Decisive Heart. We begin November 15th. You can join us here:
