Can EFT be used to help with a violent allergic reaction? In the article Relieving a violent allergy attack in 2 minutes, EFT therapist Baerbel Froehlin describes using EFT with with an fellow attendee at an open house. When we are having an allergic reaction, our energy system is disrupted. Statements like this:

“Even though I have these running eyes and an itchy nose …. I do accept myself.”

connect with specific symptoms, and focus the mind and intention. Tapping on the key points often helps to diminish the physical reactions. Baerbel then goes on to address the embarassment. I would also want to include any fears the person is feeling or has felt as well.

Can this be used in an emergency situation? Always follow prudent emergency procedures including calling for professional help or 911. Use any prescribed devices such as epi-pens or rescue inhalers. But while you wait, or drive to the hospital, do consider using EFT. In many cases it has significantly relaxed the person and helped reduce the severity of symptoms.
