  1. hmmm…I realize as i first try to tune into what my body might be feeling with the hugging someone you like versus someone you don’t like…I don’t get much. Its actually pretty close to the same clutching feeling in my chest either way…maybe just a little warmer for the person i like, but not comfortable. My body has been defensive to approach for a long time and I have to let myself be touched, unless it is therapeutic massage. Its ok if i am the one initiating approach but if another approaches me, my body is defensive or does not feel.
It does feel wonderfully comforting and soothing to snuggle close to my husband when he is asleep. yes…I know….its safe. of course, he is, in reality, always safe…but not internally as hard a I have tried….that is until now (or in the near future) I am hoping.

  2. That is where tapping on old experiences where being approached was NOT safe can help restore clarity to your primitive brain, so it reacts from the current energy present (safe or not) rather than from the noise of old trauma.

  3. I don’t mind being hugged most of the time my body is ok with it and likes hugging. What bugs me is I get pains in my stomach, or in my back, or in my ear or some weird place and I don’t even know that I’m thinking anything that would cause this. It is like one day it is a pain here, the next day or two another pain and it is like a vicious cycle.
